Kanesho Toki: Tsumugi: Modern Color Block Rectangular Plate / 紬プレート

Modern Color Block Rectangular Plate

This rectangular plate features a bold, modern composition defined by contrasting blocks of color and texture. The surface is divided into distinct sections—ranging from matte brown to softly speckled stone-like tones and a warm translucent glaze—creating a balanced yet visually striking design.

Its elongated form is ideal for presenting sushi, appetizers, desserts, or small shared dishes, allowing for clean, refined plating. The subtle variations in glaze and texture add depth without overpowering the food, making it a versatile piece for both everyday dining and more curated presentations.

Crafted in Japan using Mino-yaki techniques, the plate combines contemporary aesthetics with practical durability. Designed for daily use, it brings a modern, artistic edge to the table while maintaining the warmth of handcrafted ceramics.
